Day 2
Bicycle Hire/Breakfast/Beauty Salon/Lunch/Raymond Island/Dinner
Hire a bicycle from Captains Cove and pedal an easy 5 minute ride to the Esplanade to ThreeDoubel8Zero for breakfast.
A great menu with plenty of choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian options.
After breakfast, enjoy a pleasant bicycle ride along Sunset Drive to Sunset Cove and back to the Esplanade to have a browse in the shops to purchase a few souvenirs, and then time to have your nails done or a relaxing facial at The Little Beauty Salon before lunch at the local Waterview Bakery sampling one of their award-winning pies or salad options. Make your way down the road to catch the ferry over to Raymond Island to see some koalas.
Take your bicycle on the ferry (free for pedestrians and cyclists) for a short trip over to Raymond Island where you can follow the Koala Trail along paved pathways and roads looking out for Koalas in their natural habitat in the eucalyptus trees along the Trail. Or hire a 2 seater Surrey bike on the Island and pedal around for a unique and fun experience.
Back on the ferry to Paynesville and make your way back to your accommodation, to swap the bicycles for the car. Take a short drive to nearby Eagle Point nature reserve and the Bluff Lookout where you can take photos of the beautiful views down the Mitchell River, and drive along the Silt Jetties, the longest Silt Jetties in the Southern Hemisphere.
Dinner tonight is at Sardine Eatery + Bar where Age Good Food Guide hatted Chef, Mark Briggs prepares your meal from fresh, local produce and pairs your choice with an extensive selection of local and international wines and beers. Located across from McMillan Strait, you can watch boats go by and the ferry make her regular trip to Raymond Island, while you enjoy a spectacular meal.

Day 3
After breakfast, enjoy a Boat Cruise around the Paynesville canals and the beautiful Gippsland Lakes with H2O Tours & Adventures. Take a trip to The Grange, Steamer Landing or Duck Arm and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the Lakes. Or hire a boat from Bull’s Cruises or Little Green Boats and explore the wonders of the Lakes system yourself (Hire boats do not require a licence).
Back into the car and head home to Melbourne, feeling alive, relaxed and refreshed!
